Black Swan removed the xisting builder-grade fireplace and installed a wood burning Quadra-Fire 7100 high BTU fireplace in the same space.
This job entailed insulation and sheetrocking the existing chase, once the old unit was removed, as the new fireplace and venting needed to be installed according to current building codes. The space was reframed in order to accept the new fireplace and to create a raised hearth. The walls around the fireplace and hearth area were prepared to finish, and enabled th ewner to finalize his own stonework.
