Fireplace Addition: Norwalk, CT Project - Jotul Atra 650 Fireplace
This customer wished for a fireplace where there was not one previously.
Black Swan built an outside housing for the fireplace and insulated and sheetrocked to code. The wall was framed and a raised hearth was constructed in front of the fireplac opening. The unit was vented to the outside and the outside of the chase was finished with matching siding.
The Jotul 650 fireplace unite was installed with the Bronze Saranac face to complete the look. The front of the fireplace was finished to a sheetrock face, and the customer supplied tile which was installed to surround the opening. A custom trim mantle was built between the windows and a bluestone hearth completed the look.
