Gas Inserts

Gas fireplace inserts

Love your fireplace again

Turn the fireplace you stopped using into the one you can't stop lighting — a real flame at the flip of a switch, no hauling wood, no cleaning ash.

If your fireplace has become a shelf for photos, you're not alone

Somewhere along the way it stopped being worth the mess — hauling wood in, hauling ash out, the smoky smell that lingers for days. Most homeowners with a wood-burning fireplace use it a handful of times a year, if that. A gas insert fits inside the fireplace you already have, and turns it back into the place people actually gather.

What is a gas insert?

The fireplace you have, working the way you wanted it to

Wood-burning, as-is

  • Hauling and stacking wood
  • Soot, ash, and lingering odor
  • Drafty and inefficient
  • Rarely used

With a gas insert

  • Real flame, on with a switch or remote
  • Clean-burning, no ash to clean up
  • Sealed, efficient heat
  • Lit on a Tuesday, not just holidays

How installation works

What to expect, start to finish

A conversation first

In the showroom or in your home, we talk through your fireplace, your style, and what you want the room to feel like.

We measure your firebox

Every insert is matched to the exact size and type of fireplace you have — masonry or factory-built.

Our own techs install it

No subcontractors. The same company that sold it to you installs it, and stands behind it after.

A walkthrough on day one

Before we leave, you'll know exactly how to run it — remote, flame height, everything.

Will it fit my fireplace?

Almost always, yes

Gas inserts are built in a range of sizes to fit most standard masonry and factory-built wood fireplaces — it's one of the most common questions we hear, and one of the easiest to answer with certainty.

The only way to know for sure is a quick measurement of your existing firebox, which we can do in your home or from photos you send us.

Why homeowners make the switch

Everything you loved about your fireplace, none of what you didn't

Real flame look

Not an imitation — an actual gas flame, styled to look like a wood fire.

Remote or app control

On, off, and flame height, without ever touching a log.

No hauling or stacking

No trips to the wood pile, no bark on the carpet.

No soot or ash

Clean-burning gas means no cleanup after — and no smoky smell in the house.

Sealed and efficient

An insert closes off the draft an open fireplace lets in, which helps with heating costs too.

Protective glass screen

Real flame, safely behind glass — an easy peace of mind with kids or pets around.

Common questions

A few things people ask before they visit

Do I need a new chimney or venting?

In most cases, no — a gas insert uses your existing chimney or a simple direct-vent kit installed alongside it. We confirm the exact setup during your measurement.

How long does installation take?

Most installs are completed in a single day by our own technicians.

Can I still burn wood later if I change my mind?

Once an insert is installed, the fireplace is set up for gas — we're happy to talk through the tradeoffs during your consultation if you're unsure.

What styles and sizes are available?

We carry a range of sizes and finishes across our brands. The best way to see what fits your room is a visit to either showroom.
