Black Swan Hearth & Home has served Connecticut since 1979. No fireplace experience required, we will train you. What we cannot teach is a strong work ethic and pride in doing the job right.
About the Position
You will work alongside our experienced technicians in customers' homes throughout Connecticut, installing, servicing, and maintaining gas, wood, pellet, and electric fireplaces, inserts, and stoves. No two days look the same, from framing and venting to troubleshooting and finishing work.
What You'll Do
Assist with fireplace, stove, and insert installations
Help with service calls, cleanings, and troubleshooting
Safely handle tools, equipment, and venting components
Assist with framing, venting, removal, and finishing work
Protect customers' homes while work is underway
Learn manufacturer standards, safety codes, and procedures
Who We're Looking For
Dependable, on time, and ready to work
Mechanically inclined and enjoys solving problems
Takes initiative and pays attention to detail
Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, on ladders and roofs
Able to perform physical work and lift heavy equipment
Works well with a team and respects customers' homes
Experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or another mechanical trade is helpful, but not required.
