Product Overview
Our handcrafted cutting boards are made from local hardwoods that are sustainably sourced and harvested here in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Our slabs are thoughtfully chosen for their character and unique inclusions, which create natural features that become design elements and natural character only Mother Nature can produce. Our cutting boards are great for everyday use, and for your special occasions.
Each board takes approximately four weeks to make from cutting the strips on the table saw, carefully placing the strips to create our unique patterns, gluing the strips, planing, filling, and then sanding, sanding some more...and then, sanding some more! Once our quality control has approved all boards, we brand the back and the finish off with a coat of mineral oil to bring out the spectacular grain and richness of the wood.
Care: Hand wash with soap and water. Do not soak or put in dishwasher. Pat dry immediately. If necessary, use a scraper in your cleaning process, but not a wire brush. With use, your cutting board will show signs of drying, like your face, keep it properly moisturized. Food grade mineral oil is a good alternative. Either way, let’s make sure our faces and cutting boards keep their youthful glow.
Each board will vary slightly from those pictured due to the natural character and variations in the wood. While the overall design remains consistent, no two boards are exactly alike.
