The rear grate was an exact fit to replace a much older prior order grate that had badly bowed because of heat over the years. Seems the back heat shield may eventually need to be replaced and I will surely use Black Swan again if I am able to do the work myself. I like the diagram for ordering.

I took the old one out that was broken on one side and warped, vacuumed everything up and put the new in place .... a Perfect Fit ..... couldn't be happier.

Cast iron, as advertised. Heavy and iron like. Black in color. Matches my Vermont Castings stove. Fits right in the rear like it's supposed to. All in all, this is a great grate.
